The Department of Public Works is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and improvement of the town's street and road network. Our team works year-round to ensure safe and accessible travel for residents, businesses, and visitors throughout the community.

Services We Provide

Street and pavement maintenance includes pothole repairs, crack sealing, and resurfacing to keep roads in good condition and extend their useful life. Our crews respond to reported issues as quickly as possible and conduct regular inspections to identify problem areas throughout the town.

Sidewalk maintenance and repair ensures that pedestrian pathways remain safe and accessible for all residents, including those with mobility challenges. Damaged or uneven sidewalks are assessed and scheduled for repair on a priority basis.

Storm drain and drainage system maintenance helps prevent flooding and protect road infrastructure. Our team clears blocked drains, inspects culverts, and manages stormwater flow along town roadways.

Street sweeping services are performed on a scheduled basis to remove debris, sand, and other materials from road surfaces, helping to maintain cleanliness and protect the storm drainage system.

Snow and ice removal operations are carried out during winter months to keep roads and sidewalks clear and safe. Plowing routes are prioritized to address main roads, emergency access routes.

Traffic signs and pavement markings are regularly inspected and maintained to ensure clear guidance and safety for all road users.
