SEASONAL WASTE SITE ATTENDANT

Open until position filled.

The Municipality of Harrison Park is seeking a Seasonal Summer Employee at the Onanole Waste Disposal Site.

Must be willing to complete the SWANA Landfill Basic Operator Certification Course.

Competitive Wages

Employment will commence immediately, ending October 15^th, 2024 (41 hours per week).

Some duties include:

• Receive and direct the placement of all landfill material;
• Receive and sort all recyclables and report when shipments are ready to go;
• Maintain buildings, grounds and equipment in a clean and orderly manner acceptable to the Municipality;
• Follow all rules and regulations as per Manitoba Conservation Landfill Operating License;
• Collect and record tipping fees and all other charges associated with the waste site;
• Perform all duties in accordance with Workplace Safety and Health regulations and meet the requirements of the Municipality’s COR certification;
• Must have a valid Manitoba Landfill Operator Certificate or be willing to enroll and obtain certification;
• Any/all other duties as requested by the Municipality.

       This position is based on the following hours:

Summer Hours:  April 15th to October 15th

Monday                       8:00 am to 5:00 pm

Tuesday                       8:00 am to 5:00 pm

                                                        Wednesday                         CLOSED

Thursday                      8:00 am to 5:00 pm

Friday                          8:00 am to 5:00 pm

Saturday                      8:00 am to 5:00 pm

Sunday                        8:00 am to 5:00 pm
