Notice of Hydrant Flushing

The Town of Sandy Lake and Onanole will be conducting hydrant flushing on Tuesday Oct 20, Wednesday Oct 21 & Thursday Oct 22. During this time, residents may experience temporary discolouration of tap water as well as changes in water pressure. These effects are normal and are a direct result of the flushing process.

Discolouration is caused by sediment that has settled in the water mains being disturbed during flushing. The water remains safe to use, however residents can clear the discolouration by running your cold water tap for several minutes.
